Building Quality Assurance Manager

Overview

In this role you support the Head of Quality Assurance to deliver group compliance and coordinate audit preparation across project teams. You drive continuous improvement, conduct quality risk reviews, and manage contractor quality plans and ITPs. You oversee non-conforming work, NCRs and corrective actions, liaising with manufacturers, suppliers and project teams to uphold quality standards. You’ll maintain quality records and monitor performance via a digital platform, contributing to safe, compliant delivery of complex regeneration projects.

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Quality Assurance to deliver key Group Compliance
• Coordinate and manage audit preparation
• Drive continuous improvement
• Conduct Quality Risk Reviews
• Review and manage Contractor Quality Plans and ITPs
• Manage non-conforming work, issue NCRs, and ensure corrective actions
• Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers
• Collaborate with Project Managers, internal teams and subcontractors to promote quality awareness and compliance
• Ensure proper documentation and retention of quality records (inspection reports, test results, certifications)
• Monitor subcontractor and supplier quality performance on digital recording platform
• Attend Pre-Start meetings with contractors
• Provide quality status reports in project meetings to management

Key requirements

• Identify inconsistencies, non-conformances, risks, and gaps in documentation or process
• Ability to work autonomously with high standards
• Proactively anticipates quality risks and flags issues before escalation
• Drive continuous improvement across teams, processes and documentation
• Experience in construction, engineering, or technical quality/compliance environment
• Strong understanding of construction quality requirements, contract compliance, inspection processes, and risk reviews
• Experience preparing and coordinating internal/external audits
• Confident communicator with project managers, subcontractors, site teams and senior management
• Ability to present quality findings clearly in meetings
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
