Electrical Engineer

Overview

You join a growing team to install, commission, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems on wastewater projects in the South East. You will work hands-on across site-based tasks, troubleshooting, and supporting both routine and emergency repairs. The role offers variety, skill development, and opportunities to contribute to reliable plant operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient asset performance. This role provides a clear impact on water infrastructure and public-facing utilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation and commissioning of wastewater assets (pumps, blowers, control panels)
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnostics, and repairs
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Keep records, report progress, and support continuous improvement
• Support 24/7 on-call rota and site-based operations

Key requirements

• HNC/HND/Degree or NVQ in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical: 18th Edition qualification
• CSCS Card holder
• Experience in the wastewater industry
• Full UK driving licence
• Desirable: Confined Space, National Water Hygiene, SSSTS, Emergency First Aid
