Job Description:

Key Account Partner – Specialist Care

Territory: Northwest England & Yorkshire

Pharmaceutical Industry | Specialist / Secondary Care

I am partnering with an innovative, international pharmaceutical company that is looking to appoint an experienced Key Account Partner to cover Northwest England and Yorkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly specialised commercial team, taking ownership of key NHS accounts across the region and developing long-term partnerships with healthcare professionals and decision-makers.

Rather than a traditional high-volume sales position, this role requires a strategic, account-led approach, understanding individual NHS Trusts, identifying opportunities within patient pathways and developing tailored account plans that deliver value for customers, patients and the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans across priority NHS Trusts throughout Northwest England and Yorkshire.
  • Build strong relationships with specialist clinicians, pharmacists, commissioners and other key NHS stakeholders.
  • Understand local patient pathways, account dynamics and barriers to treatment access.
  • Identify opportunities to improve patient pathways and increase appropriate access to treatment.
  • Work cross-functionally with Medical, Market Access and other internal stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of territory performance, account development and commercial objectives.
  • Develop long-term partnerships with customers rather than focusing solely on transactional sales.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong pharmaceutical sales or Key Account Management experience.
  • Proven experience working within secondary or specialist care.
  • Strong understanding of the NHS and complex hospital account environments.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic account plans.
  • Confidence engaging with multiple stakeholders across NHS organisations.
  • A consultative, partnership-focused approach to account management.
  • Ideally based within the Northwest of England or Yorkshire with the ability to travel throughout the territory.

Previous experience within rare disease, haematology or another highly specialised therapy area would be advantageous, although broader specialist-care experience will also be considered.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

You’ll be joining a highly experienced specialist team within an established international pharmaceutical organisation, with the opportunity to take genuine ownership of your territory and key accounts.

The position offers significant autonomy, exposure to complex NHS stakeholders and the opportunity to work within a specialist therapy area where strong account management and customer partnerships can have a meaningful impact on patient care.
