Location: London
Job Description:

I’m partnering with a leading global scientific advisory firm, specialising in commercial strategy, medical affairs, value & evidence, and medical communications for the life sciences sector. With close to 1,000 employees worldwide, they’ve built a strong reputation for creativity, quality, and reliable delivery.

They’re now looking for a Director, Business Development (HEOR) to strategically position and sell their full suite of HEOR services to key pharmaceutical budget holders. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the critical role HEOR plays in bringing new therapies to market and getting them into the hands of the patients who need them.

What They’re Looking For

You’ll bring a strong understanding of HEOR solutions and proven experience engaging and selling to decision-makers across Access, Medical, Clinical, and Commercial functions within pharma and biotech. Specifically, experience selling into areas such as:

  • Evidence Synthesis (literature reviews, feasibility assessments, ITC methods including NMA, MAIC, STC, ML-NMR, PICO simulations)
  • Modeling (cost-effectiveness, de novo models, budget impact, cost of illness, epidemiological models, ICER review)
  • Value Demonstration (Global Value Dossiers, AMCP Dossiers, value messaging and testing)
  • HTA Support (submissions, early scientific advice)
  • JCA Support Services (PICO identification, systematic literature reviews, JCA dossiers)
  • Statistics & RWE (post-hoc trial analyses, RWE source selection and analysis, PROs)

The Role

  • Building relationships with key decision-makers to identify, qualify, and close HEOR opportunities
  • Proactively targeting new accounts and expanding existing ones
  • Developing and maintaining Strategic Account Development Plans
  • Working closely with internal delivery teams to shape solutions around client needs
  • Writing proposals, developing presentations, and drafting RFPs
  • Managing pipeline and opportunities via Salesforce
  • Leading pricing negotiations in line with profitability targets
  • Ensuring smooth handover from sales to delivery
  • Spotting cross-sell opportunities across other business units
  • Supporting marketing initiatives, including key industry conference attendance

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree in Life Sciences or an MBA is a plus
  • A track record of consistently hitting quotas of $2M+
  • 7–10 years’ experience specifically selling HEOR services into pharma
  • Strong understanding of the drug development process and how it shapes timing for new business

What’s on Offer

Competitive compensation and incentives, strong benefits and wellness support, generous PTO, flexible working, and a genuinely people-first culture with real investment in development and internal mobility.

If this sounds like a fit — or you’d simply like to hear more about the client and the mandate before deciding — I’d welcome a confidential conversation.
