Trusts & Foundations Officer | Home-Start Oxford Hybrid (Oxford office + home) | ⏰ 21 hrs/week, flexible | £30,519–£34,434 pro rata

Home-Start Oxford supports families with young children facing challenges like mental health difficulties, illness, disability, isolation, domestic abuse and poverty. They know that the earliest years shape a child’s whole life, and the right support, at the right time, can change that trajectory.
As Trusts & Foundations Officer, you’ll manage your own portfolio of funders, write compelling bids, and help grow the income that keeps the charity’s work running.
What you’ll be doing:
- Researching and identifying trusts and foundations aligned with our work
- Writing clear, persuasive funding applications and proposals
- Preparing accurate project budgets
- Delivering high-quality reports and impact updates to funders
- Sharing our impact through data, case studies and stories
- Keeping our Donorfy records accurate and up to date
- Tracking key dates for applications, reports and renewals
What Home-Start are looking for:
- Experience writing applications, bids or proposals
- Understanding of relationship-based fundraising or stakeholder engagement
- Experience of trust and foundation fundraising
- Excellent writing skills — warmth, clarity and persuasion
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Confidence working with budgets and financial information
- Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
