SENIOR AUTHORISED PERSON (SAP) – 33KV – HV INFRASTRUCTURE – NORTH WEST

The Opportunity

An established utility infrastructure business is looking to appoint an experienced 33kV Senior Authorised Person to support its growing pipeline of power and energy projects across the North West.

The role will support the safe delivery, commissioning and energisation of 33kV substations and associated electrical infrastructure. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, clients and site teams, taking responsibility for HV safety and operational activities across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Senior Authorised Person on electrical systems up to 33kV.
• Plan and carry out HV switching, isolations and earthing activities.
• Prepare and review switching schedules and electrical safety documentation.
• Issue, manage and cancel safety documents in accordance with applicable safety rules.
• Oversee HV construction, commissioning and energisation activities.
• Ensure all electrical works are completed safely and in line with project procedures.
• Coordinate operational activities with project teams, clients and site personnel.
• Support the delivery of 33kV substations and associated HV infrastructure.

Experience Required

• Current or previous Senior Authorised Person authorisation at 33kV.
• Strong experience working across HV electrical networks.
• Practical experience of HV switching, isolations and Safety from the System.
• Experience within a substation, ICP, DNO or IDNO environment.
• Strong understanding of HV safety rules and electrical safety procedures.
• Experience delivering projects within the power, utilities or energy sector.
• Willingness to travel between project sites across the North West.
