Sales Manager – Credit & Public Equity
We are partnering with a high-growth global research and insights business that is looking to appoint a Sales Manager to lead its Credit & Public Equity commercial team.
This is an opportunity for an experienced sales professional who has built a strong track record as an individual contributor before progressing into sales leadership.
You will lead a team of approximately 8–10 Sales Associates, taking responsibility for their development, performance and commercial output, while also playing a key role in shaping the wider growth strategy across Europe.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the sales team, ensuring individuals are supported, developed and consistently performing against their targets.
Alongside team management, the role has a significant strategic element. You will work closely with senior leadership to develop 6, 9 and 12-month commercial plans, while contributing to a broader 2–3 year strategy focused on scaling the business across Europe.
This will include identifying new market opportunities, understanding where further investment should be made and helping determine which European markets offer the strongest potential for future growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of approximately 8–10 Sales Associates.
- Coach, mentor and develop individuals across different levels of experience.
- Drive sales performance and ensure the team delivers against revenue and activity targets.
- Support the team with complex client conversations and commercial opportunities.
- Build structured 6, 9 and 12-month sales plans.
- Contribute to the wider 2–3 year European growth and scaling strategy.
- Identify new markets and commercial opportunities across Europe.
- Work closely with senior leadership on headcount planning, market expansion and team development.
- Create a high-performance culture while maintaining strong levels of employee engagement and development.
The Profile
We are looking for someone who has significant hands-on sales experience and has subsequently progressed into a people-management position.
You will ideally have:
- A strong background in B2B sales, business development or account growth.
- Experience managing and developing a sales team.
- A proven track record of personally delivering revenue before moving into leadership.
- Strong coaching and performance-management capability.
- Experience building commercial plans and sales strategies.
- The ability to think beyond immediate targets and contribute to longer-term growth planning.
- Experience selling into financial services, investment firms, asset managers, hedge funds, credit funds or similar organisations would be highly relevant.
- Experience within research, financial data, investment intelligence, expert networks, SaaS or information services would be advantageous.
This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to combine hands-on sales leadership with genuine responsibility for shaping how a growing commercial function scales across Europe.
