Site Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead engineering delivery on residential groundworks and infrastructure schemes. You will collaborate with site managers and the wider team to ensure accurate setting out, quality standards, and on-time programme delivery. You’ll solve technical issues on site and maintain clear engineering records. This position offers exposure to major East Midlands projects within a growing contractor known for technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out for roads, sewers, drainage, foundations, and infrastructure works
• Ensure works meet drawings and specifications
• Produce site surveys and as-built records
• Monitor quality assurance procedures on site
• Coordinate with site managers and subcontractors
• Identify and resolve technical issues on site
• Maintain accurate site records and engineering documentation
• Ensure health & safety compliance and company standards
• Assist with planning and sequencing of works to meet programme requirements

Key requirements

• Proven experience as Site Engineer in residential groundworks or civil engineering
• Strong understanding of roads, drainage, foundations, and infrastructure packages
• Experience using GPS and robotic total station equipment
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Good understanding of QA procedures and as-built documentation
• CSCS Card
• Relevant Civil Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree preferred)
