Financial Accountant

Overview

In this role you will join the London Finance Team to manage Lloyd’s membership accounting for Faraday Holdings and prepare management and statutory accounts across Faraday and Gen Re entities. You will support timely regulatory reporting, liaise with Lloyd’s, auditors and internal stakeholders, and contribute to process improvements and finance transformation. The position offers exposure to UK GAAP, regulatory frameworks and cross‑functional collaboration in a globally minded reinsurance group. Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing a wide range of information and reporting
• Prepare and submit statutory financial statements for Faraday Holdings Group in accordance with UK GAAP/Lloyd’s standards
• Ensure compliance with Lloyd’s regulations and governance frameworks
• Oversee reconciliation and management of corporate member assets and related responsibilities to Lloyd’s
• Coordinate with external auditors for audits
• Maintain robust financial controls and drive process improvements
• Contribute to finance transformation projects and system enhancements
• Extract data from source systems and provide outputs for information submissions
• Maintain and develop control checks for data accuracy
• Record financial data in SAP (GL Package)
• Prepare timely information and returns for review
• Stay updated with changes in reporting regimes and assist with implementation
• Liaise with internal and external clients
• Prepare ad-hoc returns and participate in projects

Key requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
• Experience producing financial statements and liaising with auditors
• Experience preparing management accounts
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and accounting principles
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team and convey information effectively
