Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services)

Overview

In this role you will lead mechanical design work within a multidisciplinary team, driving projects from concept through delivery. You will manage design activities, coordinate with cross-functional colleagues, and ensure timely, cost-effective outcomes for diverse sectors. You’ll collaborate with clients and senior staff while growing toward a principal engineer position. Responsibilities

• lead on the design of mechanical systems using industry design software
• manage projects to meet financial and time deadlines
• lead project and design meetings and coordinate work across disciplines
• supervise and mentor staff when required
• manage client relationships and contribute to the practice’s marketing and business development
• participate in financial management of projects and contribute to sustainability goals

Key requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related built environment field)
• at least 5 years post-grad experience in a consultancy
• experience with industry design software
• passion for sustainability in the built environment
