Here at XPO, we’re looking for a full-time, permanent Warehouse Night Shift Supervisor to join our operation in Leigh.Working Monday night through to Saturday morning, you’ll be responsible for leading the night shift operation, ensuring the safe, efficient and effective running of the warehouse whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service and compliance.Pay, benefits and more:We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £32,000 per annum plus a night shift premium, dependent on experience. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), the option to buy additional days, a workplace pension, high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme and many other great benefits.Shift pattern:Monday night to Saturday morning20:00 – 06:009.5 hours paid per shift30-minute unpaid breakWhat you’ll do on a typical day:Lead and supervise the warehouse night shift operation, ensuring service and productivity targets are achievedCoordinate loading, unloading and dispatch activities in line with operational deadlines and customer requirementsProvide leadership, guidance, training and support to warehouse colleaguesComplete operational checks, site audits and detailed shift handovers with accuracyEnsure all health, safety and security procedures are followed, promoting a strong safety-first culture across the operationInvestigate service issues, identify opportunities for improvement and communicate recommendations to managementWork collaboratively with internal departments to ensure the smooth running of the site throughout the night shiftAct as the main point of escalation and support for the night shift teamWhat you need to succeed at XPO:Previous supervisory or leadership experience within a warehouse or logistics environmentStrong leadership, organisational and communication skillsFull UK Driving Licence (essential)Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office applicationsA proactive approach to problem solving and operational excellenceA strong commitment to health, safety and complianceMHE licence would be advantageous; however, full training can be provided for the right candidateBe part of something big.We strive to create an inclusive environment for all our colleagues, where everyone feels welcomed, empowered and where you can bring your true self to work.
