Project Management (Professional to Associate) – Energy, Natural Resources, Power Distribution

Overview

In this role you lead end-to-end project management commissions within the Energy & Natural Resources division, handling large or complex projects and ensuring delivery on time, cost, and quality. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team and interface with clients to align objectives with governance, risk, and performance targets. The position offers exposure to high-impact, technical projects (including nuclear-related work) and opportunities to shape project delivery in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management commissions, ensuring delivery against time, cost, quality targets
• Advise at project inception on approaches to meet client objectives
• Define project requirements and establish success criteria
• Set up governance, processes and systems for the project
• Create and maintain master project plan and schedules
• Manage project development against approved plans and targets
• Develop resource plans and procure resources
• Lead cross-functional project teams and foster collaboration
• Apply performance management techniques and KPIs to improve results
• Manage change control, budgets and cost forecasting
• Coordinate project information flow with client and stakeholders
• Interface with client, consultants and other stakeholders at all stages
• Advise on Health & Safety and Environmental risks
• Plan and manage Quality, Safety, Health & Environment issues
• Junior staff development and knowledge management
• Process improvement of internal systems and processes

Key requirements

• Degree in relevant discipline
• Working towards MCIOB / APM or similar
• Proven experience managing HT&M projects, ideally in a consultancy environment
• Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects
• BPSS level security clearance (obtainable)
