Consultant, Landscape Architect / Landscape Planner – Scotland

Overview

In this role you shape landscape and urban design across UK projects, collaborating within the UK Environment team to deliver impactful infrastructure and urban spaces. You will manage small projects independently while supporting larger initiatives, applying technical design and visual assessment skills. The position combines client-facing engagement with cross-disciplinary work to drive sustainable, visually engaging outcomes. Responsibilities

• Independently manage smaller projects and support delivery of tasks within larger projects
• Prepare technical information for landscape infrastructure, development and improvement projects (strategic studies, LVIA, TVIA)
• Create preliminary sketches and detailed designs including GA drawings, construction detailing, schedules and specs for planning
• Prepare tender/construction packages and conduct construction/post-construction inspections
• Support client relationship development across public and private sectors
• Assist in bids for small to complex multi-disciplinary projects
• Manage and delegate work to junior team members
• Engage clients directly with design advice, workshops and stakeholder events
• Participate in internal multidisciplinary groups promoting innovation and thought leadership

Key requirements

• Bachelor in Landscape Architecture
• Postgraduate diploma/Master in Landscape Architecture (or equivalent)
• Experience delivering LVIA/Landscape & Visual Impact Appraisals
• Experience delivering landscape and urban design projects (desirable)
• Experience managing landscape design during construction (desirable)
• Excellent technical skills with Autodesk or Bentley and Adobe Creative Suite
• Fluent English with strong verbal, written and visual communication skills
