Overview

In this Band 6 role, you deliver structured diagnostic assessments for children and young people with social communication concerns and suspected ASD/ADHD within a multidisciplinary setting. You will work independently with senior clinicians and contribute to MDT discussions, formulation, and post-diagnostic recommendations. The role emphasizes deep ASD/ADHD knowledge, clinical ADOS proficiency, and efficient, high-quality reporting under pressure. You will manage a busy caseload while bringing proactive thinking and innovation to the service. Responsibilities

• Deliver diagnostic assessments for children and young people with suspected ASD/ADHD
• Contribute to multidisciplinary assessment, formulation, and MDT discussions
• Deliver assessments using ADOS and related interviews (ADI-R/3Di) and translate findings into clear reports
• Provide feedback to parents/carers, schools, and other professionals; contribute to post-diagnostic recommendations
• Manage a busy caseload, work independently when appropriate, and support service development

Key requirements

• Established clinical knowledge of ASD/ADHD and neurodiversity
• ADOS training and clinical experience
• Post-graduate training in areas related to children with ASD
• Experience with caseload management of ASD/ADHD in children/young people
• Multidisciplinary working experience within health and/or education
• Current UK professional registration
