Overview
In this role you will lead a portfolio of geotechnical projects from concept to completion within a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy. You will mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth of the geotechnical team, working on infrastructure, commercial, residential, and energy developments. Expect hands-on design, ground investigations, and reporting while coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams. This is a leadership position with a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality, timely outcomes and enabling business growth.

Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical projects from tender to completion
- Plan, specify and supervise ground investigations
- Prepare and review geotechnical interpretative reports and foundation recommendations
- Conduct geotechnical analysis including foundations, retaining structures, earthworks and slope stability
- Mentor graduate and intermediate engineers
- Liaise with clients, contractors and design teams
- Prepare fee proposals and support business development
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high technical standard
Key requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or related discipline
- Chartered status or working towards Chartership
- Strong background in geotechnical design and ground investigations
- Experience managing projects and maintaining client relationships
- Excellent technical reporting and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
