Project Manager

Overview

In this role, you will lead project teams to deliver ABB’s energy-related initiatives on time and within budget. You’ll coordinate cross-functional activities, manage documentation, and ensure alignment with ABB processes and customer expectations. You will drive financial performance, risk management, and supplier engagement while capturing lessons learned and ensuring proper project closure. The position offers collaboration across Supply Chain and customer-facing stakeholders, with opportunities to grow leadership capabilities in a global energy transition context.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams to achieve milestones with clear objectives and coordinated activities
• Develop and maintain scope, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk registers
• Monitor progress, performance, and resource utilization per ABB standards
• Manage financials including forecasting, invoicing, costs, expenses, and cash flow
• Identify and mitigate risks and opportunities to drive positive outcomes
• Capture lessons learned and ensure formal project closure per contractual requirements
• Support contract and claims management per ABB policies
• Coordinate with Supply Chain Management for procurement of services, materials, and equipment
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Management on supplier performance, negotiations, claims, and changes
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders, providing regular updates

Key requirements

• Previous project management experience
• Proven track record in managing scope, costs, schedules, and vendors/subcontractors
• Collaborative, solution-oriented approach with strong written and verbal communication
• Engineering degree, technical degree, or project management qualification
• Ambition to develop a career in project management and expand leadership capability
• Willingness to travel and engage face-to-face with customers
