Senior Improvement Data and Insights Analyst

Overview

In this role, you will shape procurement strategy through advanced analytics and automation. You’ll build data models, pipelines, and dashboards that provide visibility and strategic direction for the procurement function and senior stakeholders. You’ll transform diverse data sources into actionable insights, supporting commercial decisions and supply chain resilience. You’ll work with cross-functional teams, driving AI-powered improvements and mentoring peers. Responsibilities

• Design and build sophisticated data models, reporting solutions, and automated data pipelines
• Transform data from ERP, market intelligence, and external sources into actionable insights
• Develop Power BI dashboards and visualisations for procurement, finance, and leadership
• Create risk, forecasting, and market analytics models to support decision-making and resilience
• Lead automation initiatives using Power Automate and AI-powered tools to enhance efficiency
• Analyze market trends, supplier performance, commodity data, and procurement metrics to identify opportunities and risks
• Partner with procurement, finance, IT and senior leaders to deliver actionable insights
• Support and mentor colleagues to raise analytical capability across the team

Key requirements

• Strong experience building data models and ETL across multiple data sources
• Advanced Power BI skills with expert knowledge of DAX and Power Query
• Excellent SQL skills with large, complex datasets
• Advanced Excel capabilities including Power Pivot and analytical modelling
• Experience creating dashboards and analytics that support business decisions
• Strong stakeholder management with ability to influence senior leaders
