Maintenance Manager

Overview

As Maintenance Manager, you ensure the site runs safely and reliably while leading a maintenance team. You collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Health & Safety to support performance and continuous improvement. You balance day-to-day priorities with longer-term equipment upgrades and site improvements. You drive proactive maintenance, respond to unplanned issues safely, and manage budgets and resources. This role offers a chance to shape maintenance strategy in a collaborative, family-owned manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance team including engineers and planners
• Ensure plant, equipment and utilities are safe, compliant, and well maintained
• Plan and manage preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and downtime
• Respond quickly and safely to unplanned issues
• Support continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades
• Manage contractors and enforce safe systems of work
• Monitor maintenance KPIs and act on trends
• Control maintenance budgets, spares and resources
• Collaborate with Operations to support production plans and site priorities

Key requirements

• Experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment
• Experience managing a team
• Strong technical understanding of plant, machinery and maintenance systems
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements and safe systems of work
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
