Managing Quantity Surveyor

Overview

As Managing QS in the Civil Engineering/Water division, you will lead the commercial delivery across tender through final account for major infrastructure works. You will work within a tier-1 contractor’s team to optimise profitability and manage NEC-based contracts. You will guide AQS/QS/SQS teams and collaborate with design and construction colleagues to drive commercial success in heavy civils utilities projects. This is a senior, impact-focused role in London with a competitive package and car allowance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full commercial lifecycle from tender to final account
• Manage project/programme profit and loss
• Lead and coordinate AQS/QS/SQS teams
• Deliver commercial strategies for heavy civils/utilities projects
• Ensure NEC3/NEC4 contract compliance and administration
• Collaborate with design and delivery teams to optimise commercial outcomes

Key requirements

• Strong civil engineering/infrastructure background
• Experience in utilities/heavy civils
• Proven NEC3/NEC4 contract experience (essential)
• Design and build civil engineering experience
