Clinical Operations Manager

Overview

In this role you lead the Clinical Operations within the Central & West Lancashire MHST, shaping a values-led, evidence-based service that delivers early mental health support to children, young people and families. You will drive clinical quality, governance and supervision, supporting staff development and safeguarding across partners. As a visible leader, you mentor practitioners, oversee service development and audits, and act as a catalyst for positive change. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to influence outcomes for CYP and collaborate across multi-agency teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead on clinical quality, supervision and governance to ensure safe, consistent and impactful delivery
• Mentor practitioners and manage risk while upholding high standards
• Provide clinical leadership and support whole school approaches
• Develop the workforce, including trainees and supervisors
• Contribute to audits, performance reviews and service development as a catalyst for change

Key requirements

• Core professional mental health qualification (e.g. nursing, psychology), or equivalent
• Postgraduate CBT training or willingness to undertake
• Supervisory qualification or willingness to complete Post Graduate Certificate in Supervision
• At least 3 years’ experience in a CYP community setting
• Experience in senior clinical role in CYPF services and safeguarding at senior level
• Experience with multi-agency/partnership working and teaching/training
• Ability to work under pressure, manage changing priorities and strong IT skills
• Full UK driving licence or access to vehicle
