Overview

In this role you will generate new business opportunities within Bureau Veritas’ Building & Infrastructure OPEX services. You will work closely with the OPEX Sales team to qualify leads, understand client needs and coordinate with technical specialists to tailor proposals. You’ll drive outbound outreach, build a healthy sales pipeline and help convert inquiries into timely quotations. This is a growth-focused position with clear targets and strong earning potential in a market-leading safety and compliance business.

  • 27,000 starting salary

Responsibilities

  • Generate new sales opportunities through proactive outbound prospecting and inbound leads
  • Make 50–60 outbound calls per day to qualify opportunities
  • Engage prospective clients by phone and Microsoft Teams to understand requirements and gather information for quotations
  • Collaborate with technical, operational and commercial teams to propose fitting solutions
  • Deliver quotations/proposals within 48 hours
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through lead management
  • Handle inbound enquiries and convert to qualified opportunities
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities and introduce additional Bureau Veritas services
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of activities, opportunities, forecasts and next steps
  • Support senior BD staff in identifying and developing larger opportunities
  • Contribute to achieving team sales objectives and customer satisfaction targets

Key requirements

  • Previous experience in sales, telesales, lead generation, customer service or business development
  • Comfort with high-volume outbound calls
  • Strong communication skills to build rapport and influence decision-makers
  • Confident conversations via telephone, Microsoft Teams and email
  • Self-motivated, proactive, target-driven and resilient
  • Commercial awareness with ability to spot sales opportunities and cross-selling potential
  • Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues across technical, operational and commercial teams
