Overview

In this role you will drive the BFI’s fundraising, advocacy and industry engagement by building influential relationships with high-profile talent across the UK and internationally. You will lead on strategic PR campaigns, ambassador engagement, and major event delivery linked to flagship initiatives such as the BFI Fellowship and LA receptions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align talent activities with fundraising goals and wider organisational priorities. Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture relationships with high-profile talent, industry representatives and key stakeholders to support fundraising, advocacy and strategic objectives
  • Develop and deliver PR and engagement strategies that raise awareness of fundraising campaigns, philanthropic initiatives and corporate partnerships
  • Lead the growth and stewardship of the BFI Ambassador programme with meaningful opportunities for ambassadors
  • Plan and deliver talent-focused activity around major BFI events and initiatives (e.g., BFI Fellowship, BFI America programmes, British Film Reception in Los Angeles)
  • Collaborate across the organisation to align talent engagement with wider business priorities and ensure effective stakeholder communication and long-term advocacy

Key requirements

  • Significant experience with high-profile talent, agents, publicists or stakeholders in film, television or arts
  • Strong relationship-building skills with ability to establish trust and create long-term engagement
  • Proven experience delivering campaigns, events or communications involving talent or VIP audiences
  • Excellent organisational, project management and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, sound judgement, discretion and a passion for film and culture
