As Principal Electrical Engineer in Ramboll’s UK Healthcare team, you will lead electrical design and advisory for demanding hospital projects. Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for electrical building services from concept through to handover
• Mentor and coordinate electrical engineers and technicians with multidisciplinary colleagues
• Develop and oversee electrical design concepts and detailed design to meet UK healthcare standards
• Lead digital delivery and MEP coordination using Revit (BIM 360) and tools (MagiCad, Dialux, IES, Trimble)
• Act as client-facing technical lead: present solutions, run technical workshops, maintain client relationships
• Manage project scope, resources, and delivery; identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks
• Embed sustainability, resilience, and QA across projects
• Contribute to proposals, thought leadership and external stakeholder engagement

Key requirements

• Demonstrable track record delivering electrical building services on UK healthcare or high‑resilience projects
• Proven technical or project leadership with mentoring experience
• Degree in electrical, building services or related engineering discipline
• Eligibility for, or progress towards, MCIBSE/MIET/MIHEEM; chartership support provided by Ramboll
• Strong digital design delivery capability (Revit/BIM 360) and familiarity with MEP tools (MagiCad, Dialux, IES, Trimble)
• Excellent project management and multi‑workstream coordination
• Clear communicator able to explain complex concepts to clients and teams
• Self‑starter with autonomous working style and client relationship building
