Senior Scrum Master

Overview

In this role, you enable agile delivery of Navy software solutions, aligning with the Product Owner while championing Scrum and DevSecOps. You coach cross-functional teams, remove impediments, and drive continuous improvement to deliver high-quality, mission-critical software for Royal Navy systems. You work in a collaborative, hybrid environment across sites, contributing to secure defence technology and naval cybersecurity initiatives. Responsibilities

• Champion Agile/DevSecOps practices for new and modified code modules within a broader product solution
• Lead and facilitate the Scrum team to operate effectively
• Drive continuous learning and feedback within the DevSecOps approach
• Provide direct coaching and line management to team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders in Agile practices
• Align delivery with the Product Owner’s vision and foster self-organisation and accountability

Key requirements

• Significant Scrum Master experience in Agile delivery environments
• Ability to facilitate workshops and reach consensus among diverse stakeholders
• Experience coaching teams and leaders in Agile ways of working
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent
• Academic qualification in a STEM-related subject and willingness to become a Chartered Engineer
