Security Architect

Overview

As a Security Architect at Capco, you will shape secure, scalable architectures for leading financial institutions. You’ll drive security strategy across on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid environments and embed best practices within the SDLC. You’ll balance risk, regulatory demands, and innovative tooling like AI-enabled workflows to improve security analysis and outcomes. This role combines hands-on design with mentoring and cross‑functional influence in a collaborative, outcomes‑driven environment. You will be at the forefront of Capco’s digital security transformation in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise security architecture strategies aligned with business and regulatory requirements, leveraging AI-enabled tools where appropriate
• Lead the design of secure systems, networks and applications across on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments
• Conduct threat modelling and risk assessments, define remediation strategies, and explore responsible AI and automation to improve efficiency while maintaining human review
• Guide DevSecOps adoption by embedding security controls within the SDLC, including guardrails, audit trails and escalation for AI-enabled workflows
• Champion security awareness and mentor teams across engineering, architecture and delivery, encouraging responsible experimentation with approved AI tools

Key requirements

• Extensive experience designing and implementing secure architectures across cloud and hybrid environments
• Experience designing solutions using Palo Alto, Microsoft or similar security ecosystems
• Deep knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, CAF and TOGAF, with experience in Zero Trust Architecture
• Expertise across IAM, endpoint protection, application and network security, with ability to translate complex security concepts for varied audiences
• Collaborative, multidisciplinary approach with curiosity about AI-enabled ways of working and responsible AI, human-in-the-loop judgement and appropriate review
