Overview
In this role you will drive high-quality practice for children, young people and families in Suffolk while leading Regulation 44 activities and quality assurance work. You will blend analysis, advisory support and cross‑agency collaboration to safeguard welfare and improve outcomes. The role sits in the Quality Assurance Team, contributing to service improvement and professional development. You will engage with stakeholders to shape QA activities and lead workshops that promote continuous learning and better results.

Responsibilities
- Engage with children, young people, families and professionals to inform QA activities
- Conduct Regulation 44 visits to assess quality of care and safeguarding in children’s homes
- Prepare and present analytical reports with findings and recommended improvements
- Provide guidance, support, and constructive challenge to colleagues and partners
- Lead and participate in quality assurance reviews; gather feedback and identify development areas
- Design and deliver workshops, reflective sessions, and coaching for ongoing professional growth
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to share best practice and enable multi‑agency working
- Monitor legislative and policy developments to ensure compliant practice
- Support safeguarding and risk management to promote welfare
- Manage own workload with autonomy and adapt to priorities
- Contribute to ongoing service improvement and tangible impact on outcomes
Key requirements
- Postgraduate qualification (professional) and relevant experience in a CYP quality assurance context
- Experience in quality assurance in Children and Young People’s Services or Regulation 44 work
- Desirable: management and leadership experience or qualification
- Analytical/forensic approach to work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
