Risk and Asset Planning Analyst

Overview

In this role you will support risk and asset planning by turning complex data into actionable insights for investment decisions. You will work with cross-functional teams to quantify risk and identify where investment delivers the greatest customer value. You will manage and improve the ArcGIS Online Risk Management System, ensuring accurate data and clear reporting. You will translate technical findings into practical guidance that shapes long-term asset planning and value-based investments. This is an analytical, impact-focused position in a FTSE 100 company that values innovation and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assure risk information in the ArcGIS Online Risk Management System with high data quality and governance
• Develop county-level risk insights to support sustainable investment planning
• Support asset class strategy development with analytical evidence and risk-based recommendations
• Create automated or semi-automated analytics to detect anomalous risk values
• Build dashboards, reports, maps, and visualisations to communicate insights
• Provide risk-based evidence to inform investment prioritisation in Copperleaf
• Contribute to the Asset Management System and Risk & Asset Planning capability aligned with ISO55000

Key requirements

• Degree (or equivalent) in GIS, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental Science or another analytical discipline
• Proven experience delivering technical analytical solutions for evidence-based decision making
• Strong GIS and geospatial capability; experience with ArcGIS Online
• Strong SQL experience with large datasets; experience with Exasol, Databricks or equivalent
• Advanced skills in Power BI and Microsoft Excel for dashboards and analytics
• Understanding of risk management principles and how evidence informs long-term planning
• Excellent planning and organisational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
