Barmby Moor, near York and Pocklington£14.67 per hour days£15.67 per hour nightsDay or night shifts availableFlexible contracted hoursMellors Care are recruiting for experienced Senior Care Assistants to join a well established, family run care village in Barmby Moor, as they prepare to open an exciting new service within the village.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to become part of the team from the beginning of the new service and help establish a positive, person centred culture.The wider care village has been developed around creating a genuine community for the people who live there, with a strong emphasis on independence, dignity, relationships and providing care that reflects each individual’s needs and preferences.Both day and night positions are available, with flexibility around contracted hours depending on the preference of the successful candidates.As a Senior Care Assistant, you will:Lead and support Care Assistants during your shiftEnsure residents receive high quality, person centred careSupport with medication administration and associated documentationMonitor residents’ wellbeing and respond appropriately to changes in their needsSupport with care plans, risk assessments and accurate record keepingProvide guidance and support to members of the care teamCommunicate effectively with residents, relatives and other professionalsPromote residents’ dignity, independence and choiceHelp maintain high standards of care throughout the serviceWe are looking for candidates with previous experience working within a senior care position, or experienced Care Assistants who are ready to progress and can demonstrate the skills required to take on additional responsibility.You should be confident supporting colleagues, comfortable taking responsibility during a shift and passionate about providing excellent care.Pay:Day Senior Care Assistant: £14.67 per hourNight Senior Care Assistant: £15.67 per hourThere is flexibility around the number of contracted hours available, making this suitable for candidates looking for a range of working patterns.If you are an experienced care professional looking for a new opportunity where you can be part of a new service from the outset, please apply today.
