HW Finance are currently seeking an ambitious Group Financial Controller for a growing consumer goods business based in North Manchester. With revenues in excess of £50m, our client is undergoing significant transformation and alongside the industry recognised FD, the Group Financial Controller will play a key role in the continued evolution of the finance function.
This is a key role within the finance leadership team, with responsibility for financial reporting, improving financial controls, business partnering, managing and developing a growing finance team and supporting the company wide strategy. We require a hands‑on individual who genuinely wants to make a big impact in a growing and entrepreneurial business for the long term.
The Role
- Implementing best in class financial controls across the group
- Overseeing month and year end accounts, ensuring accurately and timely submission
- Leading and developing a small yet growing finance team
- Reviewing the management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory accounts
- Providing commercial support to aid in strategic decision making
- Producing monthly MI to senior management
- Forecasting and budgeting
- Business partnering with senior leadership to maximise opportunities and profitability
- Continuous improvement of processes and systems
- Supporting future acquisitions across the group including integration
The Individual
- Fully qualified accountant, ideally practice trained
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Experience of managing and developing an end to end finance function
- Significant experience of cash flow and working capital
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner with senior leadership
- Experience of working in a multi-entity or multi-site environment is highly desired
