It’s not always easy but it’s always meaningful.
As a Mental Health Support Worker, every shift can look different. Some days may be calm, positive and focused on conversation, activities and building confidence. Other days can be more challenging, with heightened emotions, distress, anxiety or behaviours that require patience, resilience and a calm approach.
You’ll be there to listen without judgement, have a calm head, providing reassurance, encourage independence and support people through some of their most difficult moments. You will be there to build trust, seeing someone regain confidence.
