  • Drafting advice on construction disputes, including payments, extensions of time, loss and expense, defects and insurance issues
  • Drafting advice on building and fire safety legislation and decarbonisation and net zero compliance
  • Drafting submissions for adjudication and arbitration proceedings, and liaising with the court
  • Legal research on relevant decisions and legislation, and helping compile client newsletters

What we’re looking for

  • A strong academic background to undergraduate level (LPC or SQE1 preferable but not essential)
  • Previous experience as a litigation paralegal is advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills, with high attention to detail
  • Proactive, uses initiative, and comfortable managing a varied task list across different fee earners
  • A real team player who is happy to pick up work as required

The details

  • Working arrangements: Minimum of 4 days in the office, with Friday typically a work-from-home day
  • Reporting to: Geri Batchelor
  • Interview process: First stage in person with the hiring manager and another member of the team, second stage with the Partner
