Food Safety Officer

A Council in Devon with a lovely rep that sits along the beautiful South West coast is looking to bring in an experienced Food Safety Officer to support the Food Safety Team with Inspection work across a range of different local Food Businesses.

The Role

• Carrying out Food Hygiene inspections across Categories A–E.
• Delivering food safety interventions in line with the Food Law Code of Practice.
• Providing advice and guidance to food business operators.
• Completing inspection reports and maintaining accurate records.
• Supporting the wider Food and Safety team where required.

Essential Requirements

• Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner (CEnvH/ CIEH) or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Fully authorised and competent to undertake A–E Food Hygiene inspections.
• Previous Local Authority Food Safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of current Food Safety legislation and the Food Law Code of Practice.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
