I’m recruiting for an established building consultancy that’s looking for an Associate Director Building Surveyor to join its London team.

The position involves technical delivery, client relationships, business development and team leadership and you’ll work closely with the Head of Building Surveying, with the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the team.

The role

As a senior member of the team, you’ll combine technical Building Surveying expertise with leadership and commercial responsibility. This will include:

• Delivering a full range of professional Building Surveying services
• Contract Administration
• Dilapidations advice
• Developing new business relationships and growing existing client accounts
• Preparing fee proposals and contributing as a major fee earner
• Leading projects from instruction through to completion
• Mentoring and supporting junior surveyors, including APC candidates

What they’re looking for

• MRICS
• 5+ years’ post-qualification experience
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• Commercial awareness and confidence developing client relationships
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• CAD/BIM experience would be beneficial but not essential
