Team Lead or Principal Consultant, Cyber SecurityLondon | Hybrid | £50,000 to £65,000 plus commission | Build a cyber desk with a group client base behind you
The role
This is a builder’s seat. You will take a cyber desk that is nine to twelve months old and grow it into a proper practice. That means winning your own clients, delivering across permanent and contract, and shaping the proposition for security hiring inside a business that already knows how to sell complex technical talent.
What they are looking for
- Around four or more years in cyber security or information security recruitment, permanent, contract or both
- A track record of winning and growing your own client relationships, not just delivering on other people’s
- Either existing team leadership experience, or a strong Principal who is ready for it and wants a route in
- Comfortable operating across markets. UK, DACH or US experience is all useful
- Someone who is energised by building rather than inheriting, and who is fine with the early stage being scrappier than the later stage
The package
- Base salary of £50,000 to £65,000 depending on experience and level
- Commission on personal billings, plus team override as you build headcount
- Hybrid working from the London office
- Access to a compliance function fully licensed across the UK, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland and the US, so cross-border contract work is straightforward
- The community, events and content infrastructure of a group that generates a large share of its revenue through referrals and communities
The honest bit The desk is young. A year old means there is early traction, not a finished practice, and you will be doing a lot of business development in the first six to nine months to prove the division deserves the headcount. The group client base is a real advantage but it is an introduction, not a signed contract, and you will still need to earn the security hiring from each account. If you want a mature desk with a big inherited book, this is not that. If you want to be the person who built the cyber practice inside a well-funded, multi-country technology recruiter, with the leadership title to match, it is a strong opportunity.
