Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Statutory Agreements Manager to join our nationally recognised Planning & Environment team.

- Advising Clarion Housing on the Merton Estates regeneration programme.
- Supporting the London Borough of Enfield on the landmark Meridian Water regeneration project.
- Advising the Museum of London on the regeneration of Smithfields and relocation project.
- Acting for the developers of the Broadwalk Shopping Centre redevelopment in Bristol, delivering over 800 new homes.
- Advising Vistry on the planning, highways and compulsory purchase aspects of the 1,500-home Drakelow Park development.
- Supporting major local authorities and housing providers on strategic planning, compulsory purchase and infrastructure projects nationwide.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to lead on Statutory Agreements, which plays a vital role in supporting the wider Planning & Environment practice.
The team provides specialist expertise and quality assurance across a range of infrastructure and development agreements, ensuring legal accuracy, compliance and efficient project delivery for our clients.
You’ll oversee complex statutory agreements including:
- Section 278 and Section 38 Highways Act Agreements
- Section 104 Water Industry Act Agreements
- Deeds of Easement
- Substation Lease Agreements
- Other infrastructure and utility-related documentation
This role offers the chance to combine technical expertise and client engagement while working on nationally significant projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Statutory Agreements Manager, you will:
- Lead and develop the Statutory Agreements process.
- Manage a substantial caseload of highways and infrastructure agreements.
- Review and verify legal documentation to ensure compliance with legislation, court practice and internal procedures.
- Maintain and oversee statutory agreement schedules and workflow management.
- Ensure accurate file management and adherence to risk and compliance requirements.
- Drive best practice and ensure files are managed in line with Lexcel procedures.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across our national Planning & Environment team.
- Support the wider department on strategic and project-specific requirements.
