Security Operations Manager

Glasgow | Hybrid (2-3 Days Onsite)

We’re partnering with a global organisation to recruit a Security Operations Team Lead to oversee a busy and evolving cyber security function.

This is a hands-on leadership role, combining people management with technical ownership across security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, compliance, and security tooling.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small Security Operations team.
• Act as the senior escalation point for security incidents.
• Drive security projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee vulnerability management and risk remediation.
• Support compliance with frameworks including ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, NIS2 and SOX.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external security partners.
• Promote security best practice across a global user base.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience leading Security Operations, SOC, or Cyber Security teams.
• Strong hands-on Security Operations background.
• Knowledge of ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, NIS2 and SOX.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Cortex XDR and enterprise security tooling.
• Strong Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Active Directory experience.
• Azure and/or AWS security knowledge.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
