Freight / Logistics Coordinator (Engineering)

Location: Leeds

Contract: 6 months

Salary: £32k – £40k

What you’ll be doing:

• Coordinate global import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and trade laws
• Work closely with specialist carriers, port operators and freight forwarders to support shipments
• Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation, including CDS entries, bills of lading, Certificates of Origin (CoO) and packing lists
• Plan and book UK and international transport, optimising routes, loads and freight costs
• Monitor shipment progress, maintain accurate records, and provide real-time updates to internal teams
• Carry out day-to-day administration, including PO generation, data entry and email support

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in freight coordination, transport planning or logistics
• Knowledge of out-of-gauge, break bulk or oversized cargo handling (road, sea or multimodal)
• Understanding of customs procedures, Incoterms and international trade compliance
• Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
• SAP ERP experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
