Site Engineer

Overview

As a Site Engineer, you will support delivery of civil, mechanical, and electrical works on flood defence and water infrastructure projects. You will work closely with the Site Manager to ensure safe, compliant on-site execution and accurate “as-built” records, while coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team. Your role helps safeguard communities by improving flood resilience and water treatment assets. This position offers hands-on engineering and professional development within a large, UK-based framework with EA collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Set out operations and ensure procedures are followed for test and inspection
• Carry out site management and ‘as-built’ surveys on completed works
• Assist the Site Manager with project setup, procedures, safety compliance, and planning
• Support financial control by logging material deliveries and monitoring plant levels
• Compile data to record resources used on each activity for reporting to QS and management

Key requirements

• CSCS and SSSTS
• HNC / Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
• Understand civil engineering principles and practices
• Familiar with methods, materials, and technical aspects relevant to the project
• Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication with team members and stakeholders
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites within the region
