Technical Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead on-site engineering and compliance for a high-profile static commercial site in the City of London. You will provide technical leadership across electrical and mechanical services and act as the primary point of contact for technical matters. You will ensure regulatory, statutory, and contractual compliance while promoting a strong safety culture. You will work closely with site management and stakeholders to monitor asset performance and risk, shaping safe, efficient service delivery. Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical leadership across electrical and mechanical services.
• Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
• Lead HV/LV operations on site and ensure works align with procedures and legislation.
• Support and manage Authorised Persons and engineering staff on site.
• Maintain and update Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and RAMS.
• Provide technical support to site management and client as needed.
• Monitor asset performance, compliance records, and risk management activities.
• Investigate incidents and contribute to Root Cause Analysis.
• Ensure training, competency, and permit standards on site.
• Promote a strong safety culture and consistent ways of working.

Key requirements

• Strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering within commercial buildings.
• Experience in a Technical Manager, Engineering Manager, or Senior Authorised Person role.
• Knowledge of HV/LV systems and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of statutory compliance, H&S legislation, and risk management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead, support, and develop on-site engineering teams.
