Programme Continuous Improvement Lead

Overview

In this role you drive continuous improvement for the LCST programme within Leidos’ MSIL division. You work with cross-functional teams and the compliance function to deliver high-quality outcomes, turning data into actionable improvements. You’ll engage with senior programme stakeholders to embed CI governance and sustain improvement across the programme. This is a data-heavy, impact-focused position that supports cost reductions and efficiency gains in defence logistics.

Responsibilities

• Lead CI projects on the Leidos programme lines using PDCA/DMAIC to drive cost reductions and efficiency gains
• Assess processes to identify opportunities for streamlined operations and lower costs
• Develop detailed implementation plans with timelines, resources, and communication strategies using the CI Toolkit
• Facilitate workshops, training, and coaching on improvement methodologies
• Chair the CI Working Group (CIWG) with governance, stakeholder engagement, and action tracking
• Coordinate and review subcontractor CI submissions to ensure alignment with priorities and measurable benefits
• Maintain evidence of Plan-Do-Check-Act activity per Service Delivery Plans and report progress, lessons learned, and sustained improvements

Key requirements

• Certification in a relevant continuous improvement discipline
• Data analysis skills with ability to process large data sets and create visualisations
• Experience in an operations environment
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to deliver at pace, multi-task, and meet deadlines
• UK citizenship
• Ability to achieve SC clearance
• Willingness to travel UK-wide
