The Opportunity
As Regional Director – UK Data Centres, you will take senior ownership of the UK data centre business, combining strategic leadership, business development and project delivery.
You will be responsible for establishing and developing the UK data centre business unit, building the team and operating platform required to support a growing portfolio of projects.
Alongside this, you will provide senior leadership across major UK data centre campus developments, working closely with clients, project teams and the wider business to ensure successful delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Establish and lead the UK data centre business unit, developing the strategy, structure and team required to support continued growth.
- Provide senior leadership across existing UK data centre projects and future campus developments.
- Develop and maintain senior relationships with hyperscale clients, developers, technology partners and key UK industry stakeholders.
- Identify and develop new opportunities across the UK data centre market.
- Build a high-performing UK data centre team across pre-construction, commercial, project delivery and operations.
- Take ownership of business performance, client relationships and future growth.
- Support the development and conversion of the existing UK pipeline.
- Work closely with the wider European leadership team to leverage international capability, experience and resources.
- Establish the business as a leading delivery partner within the UK mission-critical construction market.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership as the UK portfolio continues to expand.
- The role will involve regular travel to project sites and client meetings across the UK, with occasional international travel to engage with the wider European business.
About You
You are an established senior leader within the UK data centre or mission-critical construction market, with the credibility, commercial experience and leadership capability to build and lead a growing business.
You will bring:
- Proven senior leadership experience within data centres, mission-critical construction or large-scale infrastructure.
- A background with a leading General Contractor, Main Contractor, EPC or major construction organisation.
- A strong track record delivering complex, high-value data centre projects in the UK.
- Experience operating at senior client and executive level.
- The ability to build and develop high-performing teams and business units.
- Strong commercial and business development capability, with the ability to identify and convert new opportunities.
- A deep understanding of the UK data centre market, clients, supply chain and delivery environment.
- Experience leading major campus-scale projects and managing complex stakeholder environments.
- The credibility and relationships to engage with hyperscalers, developers, investors and senior industry stakeholders.
- The ambition and entrepreneurial mindset to take an established UK presence and build it into a significant data centre business.
