Job: Applications Technologist

Salary: Up to £55,000, depending on experience

This is an ingredients supplier that acts as an extension of its customers’ Development teams – and that customer base is really diverse. One day you might be working on a botanical infused drink, the next day you might be perfecting the texture of a new ice cream, ready for launch.
There’ll be a bit of travel – UK customers, plus occasional trips to Europe for team meetings. Most of the time though, you’ll be based from the state of the art laboratories in Buckinghamshire, working as part of a small team. Some of the customers that you’ll work with are incredibly innovative start-ups, so expect some challenging briefs, where your work will directly affect the products you’ll see on the supermarket shelves in the months ahead.
We’re looking for someone who has worked for at least a year as a Technologist in either beverage or dairy applications, although a lot more experience than that is equally welcome. You’ll be a good presenter, at ease in front of customers, with a passion for solving technical challenges. Exposure to flavours or texturizers would be highly desirable.
