HSE Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead HSE performance at our Bath site, shaping a culture where safety, wellbeing and sustainability are core to decisions. You will translate group HSE strategies into practical actions, collaborate with site leadership, and drive continuous improvement across training, audits and energy reduction initiatives. You’ll influence, coach and engage across the organisation to deliver measurable safety and environmental outcomes. This is an opportunity to own the HSE agenda in a key site within a global company and make a visible impact on people and the environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSE performance at the Bath site and translate group strategies into practical actions
• Develop training and manage ISO-based management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 where applicable)
• Support energy reduction initiatives and drive continuous improvement in HSE practices
• Influence, coach and engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders
• Conduct and manage audits, ensure legal compliance and maintain management systems
• Foster a culture of safety, wellbeing and sustainability in daily decision making
• Lead change management with non-reporting teams and enable operational excellence
• Collaborate with site leadership and Group Health and Safety on strategic initiatives

Key requirements

• Experience leading HSE programmes in a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record of driving behavioural and cultural change
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ideally ISO 50001
• Experience managing audits, legal compliance and management systems
• NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma (or equivalent), or currently working towards
• IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management
• ISO Lead Auditor qualification
• Ability to influence and communicate with senior stakeholders
• Critical thinking and constructive problem solving
