Applications Development Group Manager

Overview

In this role you lead multiple teams to deliver and enhance application systems within Citi’s technology function. You influence resource planning, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve strategic goals. You navigate complex issues with analytical judgment and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You work closely with senior leaders to drive performance, risk controls, and accountability. Responsibilities

• Manage multiple teams to achieve established goals and handle personnel duties (performance evaluations, hires, disciplinary actions)
• Provide strategic influence over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results
• Resolve issues using deep domain knowledge and cross-area understanding
• Define standards and ensure critical procedures are followed
• Integrate applications development with the broader technology function to meet goals
• Provide evaluative judgment in complex, dynamic situations based on analysis
• Influence and negotiate with senior leaders and communicate with external parties as needed
• Assess risk in business decisions, ensure compliance with laws and Citi policies, and escalate control issues

Key requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in applications development
• Experience in management
• Experience managing global technology teams
• Experience in .Net/SqlServer/Jana
• Financial services background preferably Custody / Securities Services
• Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
