Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

As Lead Market Data Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and sustain mission-critical market data infrastructure that delivers real-time pricing across the enterprise. You will support TREP and related distribution technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve resiliency, latency, and security. You will drive automation, tooling, and upgrades to enable scalable, reliable market data services in a fast-paced environment. This role offers impact through modernization and optimization of core data delivery platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and enhance market data infrastructure including LSEG TREP and distribution systems
• Develop specifications and architectures for low-latency, high-availability data delivery
• Contribute to testing and validation of market data flows (feed handlers, distribution layers, downstream consumers)
• Improve resiliency, failover, and recovery capabilities of market data systems
• Analyze and resolve real-time data delivery issues (latency, feed gaps, stale data, symbology)
• Automate infrastructure health monitoring and management with UNIX/Linux scripting
• Collaborate with network teams on multicast/unicast distribution and low-latency performance
• Review security considerations including access controls, secrets, and key rotations
• Develop, test, and document tools to support market data operations
• Support system upgrades (TREP components, feed handlers, middleware) and trouble-shoot recurring issues
• Develop strategic plans to modernize and optimize market data platforms
• Lead risk and control processes and ensure regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with vendors, peers, and leadership to deliver scalable, reliable solutions

Key requirements

• Market data platform experience including LSEG TREP
• Understanding of real-time pricing, feed handlers, symbology, entitlements, data normalization
• UNIX/Linux engineering experience with shell scripting (ksh, bash)
• TCP/IP, multicast, and low-latency data transport concepts
• Monitoring and observability for real-time systems (Grafana, ITRS)
• Experience with on-site production support and on-call rotations
• Ability to work with global teams and vendors
• Adherence to risk, control, and compliance requirements
