Architect & Delivery Lead (68018)

Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end technical architecture across multiple service towers and steer a multi-phase transformation. You will chair governance, align cloud, security, data, and SRE with business goals, and manage a cross-geo delivery model. You’ll build a road map, drive cost and ROI improvements, and implement cross-tower automation. This position offers the chance to shape a large-scale, enterprise transformation with executive visibility and a focus on engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end technical architecture across six service towers
• Lead the Stabilise, Optimise, Transform transformation programme with timelines and risks
• Make architectural decisions across IAM, Cloud, SRE, Network, Data, and Security
• Chair Architecture & Engineering Governance board and provide technical assurance
• Own programme roadmap, resource plan, and financial model including ROI
• Drive stakeholder management across clients, retained org, and offshore teams
• Define automation strategy and prioritise cross-tower automation
• Establish SLA/KPI frameworks and performance dashboards
• Lead offshore migration strategy and knowledge transfer
• Manage risks, issues, and escalations; drive resolutions
• Chair weekly steering committees and present to C-level stakeholders
• Drive vendor/tool selection and standardisation across the programme
• Build and lead high-performing distributed teams and foster engineering excellence
• Define the continuous improvement factory model to sustain transformation

Key requirements

• Broad and deep technical knowledge across infrastructure, cloud, networking, security, IAM, SRE, and data engineering
• Expert-level understanding of IaC, CI/CD, DevSecOps, GitOps, and platform engineering
• TOGAF, cloud-native patterns, microservices, event-driven design
• Enterprise-scale cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• SRE principles including SLI/SLO, observability, chaos engineering
• IAM/security architecture including Zero Trust, RBAC/ABAC, PAM and compliance frameworks
• Program management methodologies: SAFe, LeSS, waterfall, hybrid
• Financial modelling: FinOps, TCO, ROI, business cases
• Tooling: ITSM (ServiceNow), Grafana/ELK/Datadog/Dynatrace, Ansible/Terraform
• Programme delivery leadership and executive stakeholder engagement
• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred; Architecture & PM certifications
