International Business Partner Accountant

Overview

In this role you will support international entities by ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. You will partner with cross-functional teams to manage general ledger activities, month-end close, and audits in a dynamic international environment. The position emphasizes financial analysis, stakeholder management, and compliance, shaping how the business reports and controls costs across Europe. You will contribute to growth by delivering reliable reporting and process improvements. Responsibilities

• Manage General Ledger activities and third-party financial reporting
• Prepare monthly reporting packages and corporate financial reports
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities
• Analyze inventory valuation, freight costs, and accruals
• Prepare financial information for internal and external audits
• Ensure SOX compliance and internal controls
• Partner with finance and non-finance stakeholders to resolve accounting issues
• Participate in monthly and quarterly business review meetings and present financial results
• Support onboarding of new business activities and provide cross-functional finance support

Key requirements

• At least 2+ years of General Ledger and management accounting experience
• Experience preparing financial reports in European or international environments
• Strong balance sheet reconciliations, audit preparation, and month-end close
• Understanding of SOX and internal control frameworks
• Experience with inventory valuation and financial analysis
• Advanced Excel skills and strong systems proficiency
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting abilities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Finance or Business degree and/or AAT, CIMA, ACCA qualification (or working towards)
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe
• Eligible to work in UK
