Credit Risk Manager

Overview

As Credit Risk Manager you will lead VF’s EMEA Credit Department risk and data integrity, driving credit risk strategy to protect debtor assets while enabling growth. You will develop processes, oversee account risk analysis, and mentor the team, with a focus on data quality and innovative ways of working, including AI-driven automation. This role collaborates across internal and external stakeholders to shape risk policy and performance in a dynamic, global brand environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the credit risk strategy and policy, challenging current practices and introducing improved processes
• Analyse customer financials (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow) and conduct stress-testing
• Oversee new account processing across VF’s EMEA with appropriate risk assessment and data quality
• Lead regular risk meetings with internal and external stakeholders; provide updates on macro-economic data
• Provide specialized training on risk systems and processes to the Credit Department and to external stakeholders
• Explore AI-enabled approaches to automate repetitive, time-consuming processes

Key requirements

• Deep understanding of credit risk and credit risk modelling, IFRS 9
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Leadership experience managing Team Leaders and projects
• Decisive, assertive, and adaptable in decision-making
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing abilities
• Practical knowledge of Power BI, Python or Tableau; experience with AI agents is beneficial
