Building Surveyor

Overview

In this Building Surveyor role you will deliver surveys, defect diagnosis, and professional advice across a diverse client base. You’ll support maintenance programmes and project delivery, including specifications and contract administration, within a large, established consultancy. You will work with clients, contractors, and colleagues to ensure successful project outcomes and contribute to the London team’s growth. This is a hands-on, career-developing position with broad exposure to sectors and asset types.

Responsibilities

• Conduct building, condition, and defect surveys
• Prepare technical reports and schedules of works
• Provide professional building surveying advice to clients
• Assist with planned and reactive maintenance programmes
• Support project delivery including specification and contract administration
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and consultants to achieve outcomes
• Contribute to growth and development of the London team

Key requirements

• Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline
• Experience in a building surveying consultancy environment
• Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness
• Experience with professional surveying instructions; project experience advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
• Proactive, client-focused approach
• MRICS desirable or working towards chartership
