Overview

In this role you will develop and maintain internal core applications, collaborating with the Lead Developer and Product Owner to translate stakeholder needs into software features. You will work within an Agile environment, writing high-quality C#/.NET code and SQL scripts, while ensuring robust testing and documentation. The position focuses on supporting internal core systems for a global legal firm, balancing new feature work with stabilization and handover to the support team. This is an opportunity to shape enterprise-grade applications in a regulated, professional services setting.

Responsibilities

• Understand stakeholder requirements and translate them into legal application features
• Write high-quality code to deliver applications within deadlines
• Maintain SQL and Progress databases
• Perform unit and integration testing
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Evaluate existing applications to extend features for legal staff
• Develop technical documentation and handover documentation for the support team
• Provide 3rd line application support
• Analytical problem solving and developing automated solutions

Key requirements

• Comp Sci degree or similar experience
• Microsoft .NET (C#)
• MSSQL – experience in writing queries
• Version Control – knowledge of code versioning, branching and deployment solutions
